The music program serves individuals from all over Oklahoma City from elementary age to adults. Youth group classes include kid's mariachi, youth mariachi, and youth banda. Private classes are available for students and adults interested in learning or improving their skills on a one-on-one basis. Students will have the opportunity to tryout for the Mariachi Estudiantil de Oklahoma performance group.
Academia OKC has partnered with OKCPS in providing in-school elementary mariachi programs. The first in-school program started in Spring 2016 at Shidler Elementary.

Mariachi Orgullo de America
The instructors for the mariachi classes are from the premier mariachi of the Midwest, Mariachi Orgullo de América.
Since 2002, Mariachi Orgullo has been honored to represent the Mexican and Latin culture all over this region of the United Sates. Entertaining, educational, and authentic, Mariachi Orgullo de América strives everyday to spread the mariachi tradition to other cultures while, at the same time, keeping the art form alive and well within the Hispanic community. Proud of its diversity and heritage, this musical groups brings the different backgrounds of its members to enrich its performances and to bring perspective to everything it does. That is why this mariachi is known as "Mariachi Pride of America!"
Mariachi Orgullo de America has played for Governor Henry, Governor Fallin, Senator Inhoffe, Bob Stoops, Barry Switzer, Toby Keith, Sherri Coale, Carmen Harra, Jorge Salinas, Lorenzo de Monteclaro, etc. and has performed with the Arkansas Philharmonic, with the Walt Disney’s Official Mariachi, Mariachi Cobre, and performed the halftime show for the Thunder. Mariachi Orgullo has toured in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico.

Banda Gabachos is a new banda in Oklahoma! Established in the fall of 2015, several musicians came together to begin this new project. after several hard months of rehearsals, the band made it's debut at the Plaza Mayor Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 1st, 2016!
The group is composed of many top level musicians and music professors. Forming the foundation of the group are Alec Balcom - percussion, Alex Carranza - voice, Anna Rivera - clarinet, Armando Rivera - percussion, Aron Sonroman - voice, Aryn Wright - clarinet, Charlie Reeves - tuba, Evan Chancellor - alto horn/french horn, Logan Fish - alto horn, Mike Ford - trumpet, Michael Stafford - clarinet, Rafael Gonzalez Rios - voice, Richard Rivera - trombone, Robert Ruiz - trumpet, Sean Wright - trombone, Todd Balcom - percussion, Thomas Cortes - trombone, Travis Henson - trumpet, and Zach Teague - alto horn.
Enye Music Musicians
Enye Music was established in 2002 and is an independent music label. Mariachi Orgullo de America and Banda Gabachos are under the Enye Music label. Enye Music has many talented musicians of different backgrounds and perform varies styles of music. This allows for additional available resources of musicians that can teach other genres of music available through private instruction.
